Chris Discher

Guitarist Chris Discher has been jamming at the biggest Chicago Blues venues since the mid 1980s and has played the stages of Kingston Mines, Buddy Guy’s, Wise Fools Pub, Rosa’s and the Harlem Avenue Lounge. When he wasn’t playing, he was absorbing all that the Blues Legends had to offer, and cites such influences as AC Reed, Fenton Robinson, Otis Rush, Sugar Blue, Albert King, Albert Collins, Lonnie Brooks and Lefty Dizz in developing his own inimitable style. Before joining South Boulevard, he played with Dudley and Willie for eight years in Flashback Chicago, a popular back beat blues-driven band with a full horn section. When he’s not playing or rehearsing with South Boulevard, you can find Chris waiting to take the spotlight with his jam scene family at a Blues club somewhere in Chicagoland.
