Versatile drummer Del Hooks comes to us from LA, where he’s been drumming up a storm since the tender age of 5. His early Jazz roots led to gigs with the jazz band at Fresno State, the LA Jazz Festival, and time spent with Deron Johnson recording at Chaka Kahn’s studio. Over the years, Del has played all the top venues in Hollywood, CA, Austin, Texas and Chicago. In 2013, he won the Chicago Gospel Award. Before taking the driver’s seat at SBB, Del also cut his teeth with a number of energetic area rock groups, including Voicebox and the Numbers.
