Bassist Steve Flugum (Flugey) honed his musical skills by touring through Canada and the United States for nearly a quarter century, sharing the stage with such notables as Muddy Waters, James Cotton, Sonny Terry and Brownee McGhee. Once back in Chicago, he frequented the original Checkerboard Lounge with Buddy Guy, Eddie Clearwater, Lefty Dizz and many other Blues icons before settling in with South Boulevard. He has recorded at CBS Records Chicago, Capitol Records LA, Cherokee Sound LA, United Artists Studio LA, Electric Ladyland NY and Blue Wave, Vancouver, BC.
